Prince Andrew broke cover for the first time today and appeared to be visiting his mother the Queen having been holed up at his Windsor lodge over Christmas with his ex-wife and children now going on a ski holiday without him.

The under fire royal was seen for the first time since Ghislaine Maxwell, 60, his friend of many years, was convicted of multiple counts of child sex trafficking for her billionaire paedophile boyfriend Epstein.

Andrew drove himself and a bodyguard towards the castle in a top of the range Range Rover at around 12.40pm, suggesting he may have been seeing his mother for lunch, because she always eats at 1pm sharp.

The isolated son of the Queen is in his lodge close to his mother’s Windsor Castle home today while his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson flew off to see in 2022 on a skiing holiday with their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.

Despite staying silent since Maxwell’s conviction in New York, friends of Andrew insisted he had suffered ‘no body blows’ during the trial and is confident Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s civil case against him will be thrown out on January 4. She claims she was forced to have sex with him three times, including at Maxwell’s London mews house where they were picture together.

But Epstein and Maxwell’s victims, and US lawyers, believe the ninth in line to the throne should be ‘quaking in his boots’ and ‘feeling very, very uncomfortable right now’.

Today Jeffrey Epstein’s housekeeper, whose evidence helped send Maxwell down, said that Andrew must speak to the FBI. The royal offered to speak to investigators in 2020 but is yet to do so.

Juan Alessi worked at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion for ten years, during which time he said he saw around 100 young girls come through the doors.

He told the Mirror: ‘He [Andrew] should speak to the FBI, if nothing else to clear himself. I believe what Virginia is saying, although I do not know the truth about what happened between her and Andrew. I never saw Andrew and Virginia together’.
